Vision
Truss is in every stage, concert and exhibition render, and it is tedious to model by hand.
Dozens of tubes, repeated bays, diagonals that have to land on the chords, and along a curve it gets worse. I wanted a single line to be enough.
Creative Direction
It should feel more like drawing than engineering.
You shape the line and the app does the repetition. Every control is a slider in meters, and every change shows up live in a lit viewport.
Execution
I built a procedural generator that follows a bezier path, bay by bay.
Chords, diagonals, cross braces and end caps are built along the curve in a square, triangle or ladder profile, in six real finishes from aluminum to Corten. The whole design fits in a share link, and exports at real scale as GLB, glTF or OBJ.
Outcome
Version 1.2, free at has.tools.
Straight runs, arches, S-curves and full rings, built live as you draw, ready for stage design, previs and set dressing in Cinema 4D, Blender, Unreal or Unity.
