Vision
Planning a show usually means graph paper or a full 3D package. I wanted something in between.
A tool for artists, designers and curators to try out a space before it exists, without learning architectural software.
Creative Direction
Draw in two dimensions, experience in three.
The plan and the room sit side by side, and the room builds itself as you draw: walls at real height, doors, windows and daylight. Hanging art had to be one gesture, so it is: drop an image near a wall.
Execution
I built it as a browser app: a 2D plan editor joined to a live 3D scene.
Images hang at real-world scale, on the side of the wall you dropped them on. A hotspot puts you inside at eye level, and the whole gallery exports as GLB or glTF for other 3D apps or the web.
Outcome
Version 1.0, free at has.tools.
A show can be planned, walked through and shared before a single nail goes into a wall. The gallery on this page is hung with my Burning Man photos.
